Photo request

I was wondering if some of you shelter ops would care to show some photos of your shelters. Please? I am constantly changing things around as I am not happy with the way mine is set up. About the only thing I do like is my cage tags!

Everything is printed on cardstock. Then I put it all together with sliprings (like really tiny key chain rings). The small circles are laminated so I can use them over and over. When I get my photo printer, I will be adding their picture to the tags so they are easily identifiable by anyone who comes in. But here's my tags:

Do you keep personals with your shelter ferrets?

I wouldn't be able to do that, for fear that someone would freakin' bond with a shelter kid - creating another personal!

My personals are in the shelter area. They all have seperate playtimes so I'm not worried about them bonding. Once we decided whether we are buying this place and staying put or moving on, they will have their own space. Since the house is HUGE and there is only 2 of us, we have many areas to convert to their room.

The idea was so that if anything happened to Scott and I, someone could come in and know exactly who was who and who got what meds. I have it all in their files but that would take a lot of reading!

I can't tell how they are attached to the cage :confused: How do you make them stay on and keep the ferrets from messing with them?

I tape them to the cage. I haven't had anyone mess with them. I know some shelters use tags with a hole punched in the top and then hang by a shower curtain hook.
