Ive been very fortunate in the Vet department. I have a vet for my dogs(Dachsunds), he happens to raise the same breed. Great!! he also speaks in simple language. Im NOT leaving with more questions than answers. If Im not comfortable with the VET, they wont see my pet!!
I have another vet for my Calamity. The Vetrinary Group specializes in farming and exotics. I came across this group via a friend of mine. I met them when my bunny woke up ill one morning. He was terrific. He treated my Petie like a little princess. I left that office with absolutely no questions. So when I got Calamity, I immediately brought her to the exact same Dr. He very educated in the Ferret department. Treated her like the Little Queen that she is. He even showed me how to Properly clip her nails back. And did it with NO EXTRA CHARGE> Canm you believe it?. So, If anyone comes to Northern NJ with a Ferret, or another pet and you want a good vet. Just call me. Ill be more than happy to give out hin name and number.

Awww Daschunds... they're great aren't they?
The kindest, sweetest and smartest dogs ever. A weiner was the only dog (his name was Max and he lived 15 happy years...) I ever had any luck with. If I had to get another dog, he'd be a weiner!

Yeah, my husband loves them. I do too. We have two, Trixina, female miniature, black with a little tan, and My Ralph,a dark marble brown, male supposed to be a minnie, but no way. They each have their own personalities. Trixie is spoiled beyond belief, wants what she wants when she wants and will do ANYTHING to get it. Ralph is also spoiled to death, is a laid back little lover boy. He knows hes gonna get a treat and hes not kissing your butt to get it.
Trixie wants to be the dominant one. But she does realize that Ralph could very well kick her butt, he just lets her get her way, right up to the point when she wants to tag HIS bone. Ha Ha.
Anyway, they were room mates in the pet store. I brought home Ralph, and told my husband I felt bad for the female being left alone there. The next night I went to work only to come home and find my Trixina!!! They are great together. Ralph is sooo over protective of her, I have to make sure noone else has their dog out when I take mine for walks. Ralph wants to take them all out to protect his Trixie.
Ill be posting pics of Calamity pretty soon. Ill include pics of Ralph and Trixie.:singers:
