a new rescue

hey, everyone...
i am sorry i have been MIA for so long...things have been nuts here...

hopefully they will settle down soon...

well..one thing...we did a rescue the other day...the lady just did not have time for him any more...sigh...i hate that reason...:(

anyway...she said he was about 2 1/2...but he looks more like 4 1/2 to me...as soon as i can..i will take him to the vet to see what she thinks...

he is a chocolate...i named him Toblerone [that fancy Swiss chocolate bar]...Tobee for short...i like that name..BUT..everytime i go to call him that or say his name..i forget what it is and have to think on it...so that tells me that that isn't really the right name for him...:(

i had him in the playpen for a couple days..then i put him in with the other kids...i saw him eating the first day..then not for a couple..so i got worried he was not eating his kibble and took him back out of the room today and back into the playpen to monitor him..he started eating the kibble right away...
i think my little monster, CabbyBear, has been terrorizing him...sigh...so now i need to decide what to do...
until i get the 2 whole ferrets, Xavier and Lattimer, fixed...i only have room for 2 krews...i am working on that...i have to earn the $$ to get them in for their surgeries...:)

You put your newbie in with some of your existing guys right away? We always quarantine noobs until they've been checked out thoroughly by our vet...

He looks just like my little Emmett that I had in Arizona. I miss that little guy so very much. I know that he is being taken care of by my ex-boyfriend, so that makes be feel better. In one of the pics, it looks like he has bite marks of some kind or something.....was he injured???

oh, dear..i am so sorry...i forgot that THOSE pics of him were rather large...i am so sorry...:-/

as for quarrantine...yes..that is best...i, however, am not able to do that right now...

and nope...that is matted fur...she insisted on giving him a bath before bringing him to us..i am assuming he got into something...he also had a toe nail that had been pulled out..i assume from it getting caught on something...the blood was dried when we got him...but his nails were long so we noticed it when we clipped them...

i need to think of another name for him...Tobee, however cute it is, just is not fitting him...
