Hello all, I'm new here and only just joined the 3000 Club at www.legalizeferrets.org, along with my wife and can't wait to start doing what we can to assist the cause in California. A little background on us - my wife and I are currently owned by 8, yes 8 wonderful furkids. The last of our brood was just added this last week as we heard of a person who was going to take their fert to the Humane Society to surrender it. In the area we live in - ferts are not, shall we say, welcome. This means that the H.S. would have had no choice but to euthanize this unwanted fert. We luckily got a chance to contact the owner of the fert just as he was walking through the doors of the H.S. We talked him into turning around and meeting us to surrender the little guy. "Joey" is now a part of our family and while he's having a hard time adjusting to the mass hysteria that is our household - he will always have a fun and interesting place to live - with us, and his new brothers and sisters.
The little guy in my avatar is Badger...
We also have:

Thanks Janet...
I've been putting together a MySpace page for my kids this morning. It should be up and have a few photos on it soon... I think the URL is www.myspace.com/Krazy8Kids or soon will be...
My wife's been looking in on this site, so I think she'll be here shortly. I know today she's been busy cleaning the cage from top to bottom (disassembled to clean it thoroughly) which is done that way about once a month. Typical cage cleaning aorund our house is done twice a day!
There's no dirty babies or cages around this place!!!

great pics kokodaddy! shadow looks so cute with his head back like that! bandit likes to sleep the same way also. they seem to love sleeping in odd, bent positions. their bodies are so soft and smooth they can fold up in any position and sleep like rocks. ;)

Thanks Phil, the red-eyed white sleeping on his back and giving you the xrated view is Rocket, and he's still a baby (just at 6 months old now) but he's absolutely huge. The Silver Mitt sleeping with his head down is Shadow and he's a month younger than Rocket. Both Shadow and Koko are the same age. As you can tell, I love them all but Koko and I have bonded like Tiara and I did. Tiara and my wife are the reasons I absoutely adore these little guys. Going to work and going anywhere for that matter is difficult for me now because I love to play with them and see them running about.

Rocket has a few things in common with my Scottie - big and young.
Scottie is about 6 months old now, and he is a big teddy bear. You pick this big guy up and he settles right into your arms immediately, even stretches his neck and offers some kisses before snuggling back down.
And he was a wonderful big brother to Hannah from the start - playing gently gently with the itty bitty kit and offering her a warm and comfy body to sleep with. He's still gentle with her, although it's sometimes a little disconcerting to watch him take her for an alligator roll - but even the rolls are gentler and slower than those he gives adult ferrets.
I can't imagine what a great cuddler he's going to be when he's an adult.
